Margaret D- Au pair/ Companion (Live in – separate accommodation) experienced driver and communicative English essential for a friendly and independent elderly lady aged 87 years old. She lives near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (45 minutes by car from Oxford). This is an exceptionally nice and easy job for 18 hours per week, ideal for a kind individual with an appreciation of the arts. She is looking for someone who would be willing to go shopping with her, read and play games, and accompany her to concerts, the ballet and opera and can push her in her wheelchair (she is handicapped and can’t walk but is not an invalid and doesn’t need a carer or nursing as she can look after herself). Other duties include keeping her little house reasonably clean and tidy: Light cleaning, stacking/unstacking the dishwasher, dusting & sweeping, a little bit of washing and ironing. Salary: £75 for 18 hours work per week to include own self contained flat provided nearby in High Wycombe plus use of car (all flat, car expenses including petrol and English classes paid for). The au pair can also have another job on the side providing it doesn’t impact her main job. The lady is a qualified English teacher and former diplomat’s wife. START DATE: 16th of June for 12 months

Dear Aupair,
We are a vibrant and fun family with 2 children and 1 baby due in April. Our 5 year old girl is called Gigi and our son Gabriel is 18 months old. Our children are active and have lovely open minds. They enjoy being outdoors, playing, swimming, and doing art and music. We tend not to watch TV but prefer to do things that are creative whether reading or arts, or simply going for a walk.
Louis and I (Chantal) are active parents and involved in our children’s lives. We are supportive of their activities and positively encourage them in everything they do.
Our house has 5 bedrooms and lots of areas for play and living. Our kitchen and dining area is the hub of our home and opens onto our sizeable garden.
We live in Chiswick, south west London, and our home is close to all main transport links (tube 10 minutes walk, buses 3 minutes walk). Our main high street is 2 minutes away with shops, gyms etc. There are a number of English language schools locally as well.
We are looking for someone who is energetic and outgoing and able to make friends easily with other nannies. This is to ensure the children have a vibrant social life. We would work well with an au pair who is flexible and does not need to be supervised constantly to perform their duties or strictly adheres to a job description.
We would like our au pair to be a part of our family but have their own interests outside the family. They will have self-contained accommodation so that they have private space away from our family and in order to develop their own interests/hobbies.
Duties will include the care of the children (including cooking, laundry, travel to school/activities), babysitting and keeping our home tidy. We would like our children to have French lessons as well. We expect our children to be well mannered and encouraged to be respectful of others.
Our au pair will represent our family outside our home and we expect that they will be punctual and professional at all times.

Boy Au pair (Live in) driver for active elderly couple living in Birdham, West Sussex (rural countryside location, 3 miles from Chicester and 4 miles from the sea). They are looking for someone over the age of 24 yrs who preferably also has some experience with computers. They may also be getting a dog (Spaniel).
Duties include: All household duties, keeping the living room hoovered and tidy – emptying all waste paper baskets, hoovering the hall and staircase, keeping the work surfaces in the kitchen clean, putting out waste paper and bins – the husband does this as well – the boy has his own bedroom to look after and the bathroom he uses – mostly the couple change their own bed sheets and hoover themselves (the family also have a live out cleaner that comes in as and when needed), light ironing, helping with cooking in the evenings i.e preparing vegetables, manipulating saucepans (due to surgery 12 years ago the lady is unable to lift anything very heavy), help with feeding the dog when the couple are away.
Salary: £60 for 20-25 hours work per week, Sunday is free and Saturday most weeks but if they are entertaining, the au pair may be asked to help in the evening. Either Tuesdays or Wednesdays also free plus use of car and the opportunity for extra work on the side or another part time job.
Bicycles are also available for use. The husband is retired but is a keen photographer and the wife is a Chairman of a charity (office is in the house and many people come and go so they au pair will be meeting people of all ages).
START DATE: ASAP for 6 months
