This two parent family are based in a nice suburb in the city of Coventry. This is a small city with a university and all a large and busy town can offer. It is 20 minutes by train from Birmingham, the second city of the UK and has fast, inter-city trains to London. It is also near very pretty Warwickshire countryside and many picturesque villages. This family are relaxed, down-to-earth and friendly and are looking for someone who will definitely stay with them (if happy!) for up to a year – preferably longer! They will accept either a ‘standard’ au pair to work 30 hours OR a Mother’s Help to work 35-40 hours and to take care of all the cleaning and some of the cooking. They would definitely like someone who can speak good English. They are also looking for someone who likes to cook and would be happy to help look after a 4-yr-old and a 1-year old. We have placed two au pairs with this family who were very happy and provide good references. They are very friendly and their au pair really becomes part of the family! They have a summer au pair who will stay until 10th September and would like the new au pair to start a week before and so they can work together for a week.

A single father family, white, British, professional. Mr Coombs is a single Dad (divorced) who has two older children aged 15 and 13. His daughter (15) is away at boarding school and only home at weekends and holiday and his son (13) is at home. The family are looking for an adaptable, cheerful au pair to be a companion and friend to the son. We have placed two au pairs with this family who have both been very happy and stayed for a long time. The current au pair leaves mid September, and so they are now looking for a replacement. They live in a large property set in 46 acres of land in a rural location, but with good access to the very busy and popular town of Solihull and the small historic town of Henley-in-Arden. The large city of Birmingham is only 30 minutes drive away. There are language classes available in the towns nearby. The au pair would do a little light cleaning and cooking – but there is also a cleaner who comes one day per week – and become absolutely part of the family (au pair references available).

25 hours per week – but hours negotiable / £80 – £90

To start Sept/October – 6-12 months

A two-parent, white, British, professional family who have one daughter of 8. Dad is a medical surgeon and Mum is an international development worker. Their daughter attends school an hour’s drive from the family home and is also actively involved in gymnastics. The family are now looking for an au pair to be a friend and companion to their daughter and to drive her to school and gymnastics classes. They would therefore love to find someone who has an interest in gymnastics or who is active in sport as well as being a good, confident and careful driver. The family are flexible and kind and would like the au pair to arrive during September or early October and stay until next May if possible (but dates can also be flexible). The popular, elegant and large, busy town of Cheltenham is 20 minutes away, where there are lots of language courses available. There would also be some light domestic duties, but the family also have a cleaner who comes one day per week.

A two-parent, white, British, professional family who have 3 older children aged 14, 11 and 5 yrs. All the children are at school – but attend different schools – so Mum needs help from an au pair at the beginning and end of the day to help with school drops and pick-ups. Mum is an artist and is also at home. The family are looking for a cheerful, flexible, independent girl, who is happy to live in separate accommodation attached to the house, which has its own staircase, bathroom and living room/bedroom with large plasma screen TV. She would be needed to be an extra pair of hands for Mum, to do a little light cleaning and to help with the school runs. The house is in a village, but there are 4 other au pairs in the immediate area for friendship and there are 3 large and busy market towns of Banbury, Milton Keynes, Leamington Spa nearby. There would be an opportunity for the au pair to earn extra pocket money by helping clean/shop for the father’s elderly parents who live nearby, if the au pair wanted (optional).

témoignage jeune fille au pair Grande Bretagne

témoignage jeune fille au pair Grande Bretagne

Madame,

Cordialement

Marie Alix.
