Homestay in Dublin 475€/ week

This programme allows you to stay in a host family accommodation while taking part in excursions and other activities organised by our school. You do not have to take English lessons in our school to partcipate to this programme..

You will be able to visit Dublin and surrounding areas, to take part in eveining outings such as musinc nights or tap dancing nights. This programme is perfect to experience the Irish culture and history and to be in contact with English speaking Irish people..

This programme is aimed at adults 18 years of age and more but children can register provided there is at least one parent with them.

You can register all year long. there is no set dates for this programme

Accommodation

You will be accommodated with a host family on a half board basis. Our families are regularly inspected by our local accommodation officer.

Living with an Irish host family is the best way to get to know the culture and improve your language skills. Most of our families live in residential areas around Dublin. The city centre can easily be reached either by DART, bus or on foot, depending on where the family lives.

The family will offer:

• A single, twin or double private room, depending if you come alone or not
• Half board (breakfast and evening meal). A picnic can be organised for you for an extra charge.

Activities

Here is an example of the tours, excursions and activities that we can offer:

• Walking tour of Dublin, getting to know the history of Dublin

• National Museum of archaeology

• Trinity College, the famous university of Dublin

• Museum of contemporary art

• Kilkenny tour and Kilkenny castle

• Georgian tour around Dublin

• Chester Beatty museum

• night in a pub

• Irish dancing…

In order to register you need

To send us the following documents:

• completed application form

• Full placement fees of 435€ per week + registration fee of 80€

How to pay?

1. either by bank transfer to our account (please ask for our bank details)
2. either by euro cheque
3. either by International Postal order (dont forget to enclose with your application the voucher for our attention)
4. or by foreign cheque (please add up 20€ for bank fees as they charge us for processing foreign cheques). Please make sure exchange rate is accurate and totalise the correct placement fee and registration fee.

What happens next?

Once we have received your application form, placement fee and registration we will send you an invoice and the details of your host family, together with a location map, information on Dublin and details of excursions will be confirmed. A contact number will also be given in order for you to be able to join the excursion group easily. The host family will also help you settle down and will inform you on what’s to do and see in the area. All our host families are inspected on a regular basis and are used to receiving foreign students/ travellers in their home.

We will also help you find a flight and help you plan any tour or visit outside Dublin if you want

Refund policy

• Cancellation up to 30 days before departure : refund of 100% course fee
• Cancellation 15 to 29 days before departure: refund of 60% course fee
• Cancellation between 8 to 14 days before departure 50 % refund course fee
• No refund 7 days before departure, if you decide to return home earlier than expected for any reason whatsoever.
